See the attached information for details of size, bleed, colour, and crop marks for the kind of document you are creating.
If printing goes to the edge of your page, bleeding the item a few mm beyond the edge is essential for a good result. Mixing colour modes can lead to disappointing results.

  Making a pdf
PDF is a great format for printing as you don't need to send all the fonts and attached files or worry if it was created on Mac or PC. But some elements in your document may not convert to a printable version unless you follow the correct settings.
Please check these settings for making your pdf.
If you don't have Distiller, create a version 4 pdf.
